Siri does not seem to like U2 much

Last week I finally got my hands on the new iPhone 4s which is Apples latest creation. The most talked about feature is Siri.  In short, Siri is a built-in, voice-activated personal assistant. The idea is to offer you an easy way of interacting with your phone without having to tap away. Instead, you speak to Siri and Siri speaks back to you.

You can ask it questions for which it will find the answer, except if you are asking it about U2. Apparently whoever programmed Siri is not a fan of the legendary Irish band U2.

I was spending some quality time with Siri testing his capabilities but whenever I asked it: ‘What is the best U2 song ever recorded?’, the answer was always the same.U2

All other questions that I asked either had a very clever reply or directed you to a Google search on the subject except for my U2 question which got a very flat ‘I don’t know’. Has U2 been banned as a search term with Siri or is Siri just not a big fan of the 80s rock band.

There are however some very funny answers that Siri gives at times. I have managed to find a few examples to prove that Siri does have a sense of humour.

If you have had a notable experience with Siri then do let us know. I have a feeling that Siri will be gathering a huge following of fans soon. I am a fan, are you?
